Helping mothers breastfeed, one baby at a time... |
|
 |
The
Breastfeeding Center was established in 1987 when Elizabeth Studer
saw a need for professional counseling for breastfeeding
mothers. After the birth of her third child in
1985, she realized that support for breastfeeding mothers did not
exist in the hospital and was limited in
the community. At that time she began counseling
breastfeeding mothers and in 1987 became a board certified
lactation consultant and taught the first breastfeeding
class in Stark County at Aultman Hospital. She has been helping mothers
and babies ever since Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
Ohio State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the
University of Akron. She is a Past-President of the Ohio Lactation
Consultant Association and has been their Conference Coordinator
for the last eight years. She is the mother of four
children. After working
out of her home office for 19 years, she purchased a home zoned
commercial in 2004 and spent 18 months remodeling
it. On June 28, 2006 she was proud to open her freestanding
Breastfeeding Center at 2800 Lincoln Way East
in Massillon, OH. A dream come true! Please stop
